Final Touches on the Engine Itself

Except for the front accessories (alternator, vacuum pump, power steering pump, and a/c compressor), the entire engine assembly is essentially complete. Trevor chose to make it a photo-op. :) Notice the clean brake master cylinder to the right; I replaced that while the truck was non-operational. This repaired a long-lasting problem with the brake pedal in this truck slowly sinking to the floor while holding the brakes for an extended time, such as at a stoplight. I think the vacuum pump needs to be replaced, but otherwise the brake system's functioning at 100% now.

One last shot of me standing in my engine compartment. I'm installing the clamps for the metal fuel injector lines that keep the lines from vibrating and breaking. You can see the installed alternator in this shot; the vacuum pump has also been re-installed.
